Mark Robinson: Creative Digital Tools

Mark RobinsonMark Robinson (@activeducator) was an early education technology pioneer as a teacher, and he continues to lead educators today. As Promethean’s Head of Education Product Strategy, he gets to think, help design, and play around with a lot of the latest education software and tools for classrooms, students, and educators. Mark loves the idea of digital pens in the hands of students, along with fingers touching screens. “We need to fully consider productivity with new technology, not least video and audio, which makes a device a roving movie studio, as well as the ability to carefully structure and develop ideas. That means experimenting with designs and concepts. Knowledge is not a static thing, and the ability to create and synthesize ideas and develop new things from what we’ve learned is essential,” says Robinson.
